The wide-scale Working From Home experiment — created in response to Covid-19 — has sparked a clear shift in people’s desire for flexible working. They want to choose how, when and where they work. It’s not just for working mums any more. People don’t want to go back to business as usual.
However, 54% say their managers aren’t yet fully equipped to lead flexible teams. When it comes to sustainable flexibility, closing this skills gap will be vital.
In May 2020, Beam Australia and Circle In conducted an online survey: Flexibility and the Future of Work post-Covid. Of the 737 respondents, 660 were women and 72 were men (5 preferred not to specify). 579 were parents and 362 held manager roles.
